The Buzz: It’s easy to see why “Survivor” producer Mark Burnett put this film together in the wake of “The Bible”‘s success after Burnett and company received huge ratings and three Emmy nominations for that mini-series. Any by “put together” we mean: the 10-hour mini-series was edited down into a 2-hour film. Once lower profile than Darren Aronofsky’s Noah, advanced reports of the religious groups buying out entire theaters for opening weekend have us all wondering what the opening-weekend tally will be.
